I wanted to take a moment at this point, to raise up a very creative person whom the world lost way too soon. A few weeks ago was the first anniversary of YouTube creator Steve Cash’s passing. I won’t go into the specifics of how or why, it’s not my place.
Steve was one of the first creators on the platform that I hit the “subscribe” button for many years ago. I came across the very first “Talking Kitty” video randomly one night and totally pissed myself watching it. I found it THAT funny!
Soon after, he kept making more and more videos, eventually adding story lines and new characters/pets into the mix and creating different personalities for each. With each passing video, you could tell he was trying to up the production value.
He would also use the videos to showcase his musical talents.
Even though I never met the man, he was kind enough to accept my Facebook friend request all those years ago. Sadly, Sylvester, the main subject of the videos made the trip across the Rainbow Bridge to be reunited with Steve just before Christmas last year.
To this day, one year later, I cannot bring myself to delete Steve from my friend list, and it’s a good thing that I haven’t. Because every time one of his IRL friends posts something or one of his relatives post something and tag him, I get to see the post on my FB feed, and it allows me to keep his and Sylvester’s memory alive.
So for Steve and Sylvester, I’m posting the entire Talking Kitty play list here for everyone to enjoy. If you enjoy the videos as I and plenty of others have, please give them a “Thumbs Up”. This will surely help these videos from slowly being forgotten to time.
